We were just discussing a great poker game and peeing Marines. A few things have happened since then that may have been blog-worthy, but I got it out of my system with Facebook and Twitter. As such, this medium is neglected and probably needs to die. That said, I have an occasional need for a more creative outlet in long form.
Today I drove out and back to Yosemite. Living in California certainly has it's upside and this is one of them. I highly recommend the pics I put on Facebook. They sum it up far better than anything I could write here. I was being pulled in several different directions this weekend, but a day away from my smart phone, facebook, twitter, WWF and mostly IMs was just what I needed. My kids think I'm cool. That's all I need.
That said, since this is a poker blog, I need advice. I've been threatening to play the WSOP for years, but this is the year I'm going. I will certainly play the Razz event. Should I also try the LHE event a few days before? Is the LHE event starting the day after out of the question? Since I've never played any WSOP event, multi-tabling is probably not in my best interest.

I've only played once, so I am certainly no expert. I took a nasty beat (QQ < 88) all in pre-flop, so I was all depressed for several hours. That being said ... it was great fun. The other thing you might want to consider, however, is that the Rio runs several excellent deep stack tourneys every day of the WSOP, not to mention special series at Binions, Golden Nugget, Caesars, Venetuian, etc. The Rio cash games and elsewhere are excellent. You will have an outstanding buffet of poker from which to choose.
Playing the Limit tourney before Razz should be fine if you want to play it. I think I would wait to see how the Razz tourney goes before registering for the Limit tournament afterwards since they are both three-day tournaments and are in close proximity.

You suck and won't make it past day one in Razz so go ahead and do the LHE game. XD. Missed you, you missed me too right? :).
I would say play the Tues LHE and the Friday Razz. You can hold off registering for Razz until Thursday night. You can always go play Venetian deep stack Wednesday (NL or HORSE) if you bust out of LHE Day 1.
I am hoping work schedule works out for me to play PLO8 27th.
What Bayne said, minus The Venetion. Do that thing we do, where we focus on a task at hand and make it happen.

Play the razz event. Wing the rest. Plenty of time and options to do what feels best at the time.
