Thanks and Stuff

3 AUG 06

It’s been a while since I said thanks to my top referrers. I have a sneaking suspicion that it’s the site owners who click on my link (as opposed to traffic on their sites that just HAVE to read about a pokerplaying Army Doctor on tilt), but I say “thankya” just the same.

Without further ado, my top referrers:
Seattle John
Drizz
Pii
Dr. Pauly
Whiskytown
Matt
Up For Poker

Since I suggested it to Huge Junk, I give you the always entertaining, Google Searches that Lead to My Blog:

"I am standing here beside myself"
"Never play cards with a man called doc"
"Never play cards with a man named after a city"
"Husband loses at poker"
"Making a move on a man" (Huge Junk, was that you?)
"You got to have hand" (Seinfeld reference)
"Doctors get very little sleep" (amen, but so do poker players – try doing both!)

I'd love to thank people too, but have no idea how to get the information.

Hey, Doc, question for you.

I, too, use SiteMeter, and I was wondering how you figured out who your top referrers were. I couldn't seem to find any built in option on the sitemeter page for it.

There may be an easier way to do it (I'm sure Dr. Pauly knows how). All I do is go to the Sitemeter site via the link at the bottom of my page and click thru the links on the left.

As for figuring out who my top referrers are, I just count.

With my fingers.

I usually don't need to take off my shoes.

While my poker prowess is still something of an unknown, my Interwebs savvy is the stuff of legend. Linked by Pii = Instant Flash Mob.

In case Pii comes back here...

I tried 3 times to comment on your blog, but I got an error message every time.

My comment was ingenious and, dare I say it, potentially life altering.

Oh well...

Hmmm... Probably due to my comment smap thingie. It automatically shuts comments off on posts after a certain period of time. You should always be able to post in one of the more recent entries.

comment smap... That probably hasn't hit your part of the web yet.

Look for it. It's the bomb.

Not me, though I wouldn't ever want a list of stuff I DO search for to be seen by anyone. That would be embarrassing.
